TumbleBus Birthday Party and Review!
Well, It happened. My boy turned 3! He is such a cute, loving and amazing boy. So I wanted to give him a party he would remember. He loves just about anything on wheels, but he LOVES School Busses. So my husband had suggested we throw him a school bus party. And boy did we! I started researching buses and going to shopping to find products that I could use to throw him a really cool School Bus party.
Since he loves to sing “The Wheels on the Bus” I thought maybe I could make the lyrics for decorations. So I did these:
Then I filled our candy jars for the table and put some yellow cookies and candy in them.
I also went around the house and found all the busses we had and put them on the table.
But then the biggest surprise came! The TumbleBus. He was so excited! When I was researching busses, I thought maybe I could
have a school bus come to the house. And then I found the TumbleBus company. I reached out to them about coming to my sons party and they gave me a discount for sharing my experience with all of you! My husband and I were so excited to surprise him we could barley sit down. When the bus arrived, He was so happy. I had all the parents sign the waiver and then the kids all ran to the bus. Parents were welcomed to climb aboard the bus to share in their child’s adventure.
Morgan, was the bus driver and she was very cheerful and playful with the kids. She even helped some of this little ones through the obstacles. Some cool features, they have a climbing wall. This was good for my little one as he loves to climb. Then there was a tunnel and a hanging swing. Morgan, was happy to help the kids hold on to the swing and she taught them how to hold on and even held their hands. The bus was clean and well padded with foam cushioning the perimeter to make the kids feel safe.
There was a small trampoline that was perfect for the three year olds. They had a lot of fun jumping on it. There was room for the parents to help their kids and play with them too. We had music playing and it really was a party for toddlers. In the back was a large ball pit with a slide going into it. The kids loved this, even the little ones. There was a line for the slide the whole time!
The Bus was filled with many fun obstacles that challenged all ages groups on the bus. One of the best parts was the ladder that the kids used their hands to climb across. The Driver helped them learn how to coordinate their hands to get across.
At the end was the Award ceremony where the kids were presented Tumblebus medals. It was difficult for my son to part with the medal at bath time! When he received his medal, she also gave him a sticker and a TumbleBus T-shirt.

Angry birds is a popular game that many people have become addicted to. It features flying birds that have to knock down objects to defeat ugly pigs and win shiny stars. I have played it a few times and its a really fun game.
Angry Birds has become a household name and with that comes the fad of Angry Birds birthday parties! I have been researching online and here are a few really cool ideas for parties.
You need to have a very cool cake! There are so many ideas that come to mind. The Angry Birds are very easy to be creative with and they have very vibrant colors so you can use your imagination and come up with something very nice.
You need Decorations. From Lollipops to ballons you can be so creative with your choices. You just can’t go wrong with this theme!

The Momma’s Boy #1 was so excited to receive his Wigglo Pet. He named it Bob and carried to around on his shoulder. He even had to make sure all his friends saw it as well.
He loved how when he would pet Bob, the Wigglo Pet, he would react to each touch. His friends and him have a blast with them.

I had the change to review her low calorie meal plan and let me tell you I loved it. It planned out my meals for the week, as well as gave me a grocery list, and told me what each item would be used in what recipe. She had some of the items where she stated that you could make the item ahead of time and keep refrigerated. This helped cut back on time. Her meal planning is very planned out and easy to use and I love it. Every Friday an email will be sent out with your meal plan!

I have been nominated for the Liebster award, by my friend Tasha at New English Mum in America. For those of you that do not know what the Liebster Award is, it is for new blogs that have less than 200 followers. The award is given by bloggers to bloggers. And you know how I feel about empowering and supporting each other! So I love this Award. It was created to show newer blogs that they are appreciated and also to promote us newbies to the blog world.

Here are my 11 Random Things:
1. I am originally from Wisconsin. Ya Know? Ya. Up Der eh? Sometimes when I drink my accent really shows.
2. Pertaining to #1, I LOVE cheese. Sharp cheddar is my favorite but I love all kinds. And Port Wine with crackers.
3. My old self still lives in NYC and wears 6 inch heals, short dresses and drinks wine with girlfriends. She also has an amazing job that pays for fabulous trips and dinners.
4. I love walking. I love the fresh air, I love the strange things you see, I love meeting people and talking to my neighbors.
5. I think about time travel, the 4th dimension and parallel universes on a daily basis. I could watch “Into the wormhole” for hours. I know it is because I seriously hope that I can see my brother again one day. He was a genius and he believed that there were parallel universes. So a part of me thinks he is alive and happy in another universe.
6. I am afraid of the water/fish BUT I love to swim! I AM working through this fear as I believe we should challenge ourselves on our fears. I have gotten into the ocean twice but I had to spend 6 months swimming in a pool telling myself there are no sharks in it…Breathe….
7. I have met three Presidents, several congress men, Senators and went with my cousin to testify in front of the Supreme Court for more funding for the Children’s National Institute of Health. When I was 11.
8. I don’t understand how people can read LONG books. I would rather watch a movie. Plus I have a little problem with dyslexia and it’s hard for me to read and understand when my eyes move down to the next sentence. I do not read for pleasure but I am always reading for research.
9. I have a hard time writing and this is why I have started my blog. I am a pretty black and white type of writer. I could speak for hours, to large crowds but writing it all down? It’s hard for me. I am a “get to the point” type of person. But blogging is slowly changing that for me.
10. I used to love country music now I can’t stand it. After Living in NYC I now have a love for Hip Hop, R&B and the Top 40. And I love to dance with my husband and boys on our deck all summer long!
11. I competed in Miss Wisconsin and won the Gladdy Good Humor Award. I’m funny, and I got an award to prove it:)
11 Questions that were set for me:
1. Why did you start blogging? To become a better writer.
2. If your life were a song, what would it be?
3. If you had the chance to meet one person, living, fictional or dead; who would it be and why? My Brother, I just want to hug him and kiss him and tell him I love him. We are coming up on his 5th anniversary this April. Can’t believe it’s been 5 years. Ugh..
4. If you had to eat the same meal, every day, for the rest of your life; what would it be? Tostitos lime chips and Salsa, root beer float and a nutty bar for desert.
5. Do you have any phobias? Clausterphobia! and Standing in lines! Anything that makes me feel less free!
6. What makes you angry? Being told what to do. I am a very independant woman and I love being an adult!
7. What makes you happy? My Husband and my boys! They are my happiness!
8. What’s your favorite smell? Coffee Beans and the edges of Bread. I don’t know why!
9. What’s on your ‘Bucket List’? To go to Paris, we are planning a trip in the next few years. I’m half French and I want to visit my people! Plus my husband and I are going to lock our love on the Passerelle des Arts (Love Bridge).

Ah, Sundays! The time of the week that I sit down and go through my receipts and budget out the next week. What did I spend, what did I save? I am a pretty organized woman, but geeze, the amount of paperwork that I have to go through just to come up with one number is crazy! That number is how much can I spend?

At first glance I was so excited to have a tool at my fingertips that could help me plan out my budget on a monthly basis. This is a monthly budget planner and Money Management tool. One feature that I love is the calendar, which I think is awesome as I am a very visual person. I was able to see upcoming payments and bills.
The second feature that I love is being able to upload my receipts so I don’t have to keep them! Hallelujah! Who needs another folder with a ton of receipts in them??? Who? Seriously!
The greatest part about the software is that it helps you identify your poor spending habits. When you know what these are you can save more money by understanding where your spending is going wrong.
The Card Nanny helps you come up with spending goals and budget for upcoming events like travel. There is nothing to download, they do not ask for your personal information or bank account information. They are a safe site, secured by Norton and fully PCI Compliant, verified by COMODO/Web Inspector. I really like this budgeting system and would recommend it to all of you out there that need help in this area. If you are anything like me you will be happy to have a place to manage your personal finances online.

Mama’s easy Chicken salad
Happy Easter Moms! I hope you are enjoying your time with your Families. Today, I wanted to bring you a very simple and easy recipe that you can put together in just a few minutes and it’s delicious. Here are the ingredients that you will need:
One already cooked rotisserie chicken
One and half cups of cut up grapes
Two celery stalks
Half a cup of cut up onion
One cup of cranberries
Add mayonnaise yellow mustard to taste
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
I usually buy a cooked rotisserie chicken from Walmart. It costs between $5-$10 depending on what size you need. This makes the whole process easier and personally for me, I am positive I can not make chicken taste this good.
Just shred the rotisserie chicken and Mix together with all the other ingredients. The best part about chicken salad is that it’s a flexible recipe. You can add apples, nuts and other tasty foods and make it the way you like it.
This recipe is easy to put on a roll or bread for a chicken salad sandwich. Itactually gets tastier as the days go by. If you have little ones like I do, I serve the chicken salad with bread on the side. They like to eat it with their hands.

Wine not Whine!
I want Wine. W-I-N-E not Whine!!! It could almost sound like me whining for wine? Is that what it’s come to? I used to get a drink with my co-workers after a long day working in the City. I remember it well and usually around the first day of spring, I would exit a tall skyscraper and realize that I didn’t need my coat.

I felt the sun on my face and the smell of spring. Or the smell of Garbage in NYC, but either way it was a promise of something new.
We used to get rooftop tables and have a few glasses of wine. We had long talks of what was in our future and all of our 20-something dreams. Sipping away red dry wine. Which would eventually stain my teeth and sometimes I would have to brush my teeth a few times to remove it. Ah yes those were the days….
Back to the Wine, I mean whine. You know what? I am actually going to skip the part about the whine. Because I am enjoying my glass right now and reminiscing about my 20′s and I think You can figure out that I’d rather keep sipping my wine and not talk about the whine because if you are a mother you already know what I mean and there is no sense getting into the details. So I am Kicking my feet up, waiting for the weather to get warm enough for me not to wear a coat. Thinking about the family my husband and I created and how we are going to have these spring nights where we sit on our deck and talk about our life and our boys. So tonight I shall drink wine for Tomorrow I will hear whines. Either way, I’ve got it made. Nothing I ever dream’t about in my 20′s could have made me happier than the life I have now. What an adventure.

Nothing is certain except…. Carpet stains?
Well, some things are inevitiable. What’s that saying? “nothing is certain, except death and taxes…” Something like that…Well, I would like to add carpet stains too! If you have children, pets or just clumsy housemates, you know what I mean. It never fails! In fact, as soon as I vacuum, someone always makes a mess! I have tried many different cleaners but it seems like they have so many toxins in them. This is always an issue for me as we have two little ones that play on the carpet all day. Also, with the amount of stains we have, I really need a professional’s help. So, I do what I always do and I decided to do some research.
This is what I found. There are companies out there that specialize in carpet cleaning with natural chemicals. And with a quick search I easily found one called Enviro-green Carpet. They have great options for having your carpet professionally cleaned and with non toxic chemicals that are environmentally safe. They even clean mattresses. I never knew that this was even possible! And with my severe dust mite allergy I need a service like this! It looks like clean carpets, mattresses and wood floors are in my future!

The dance of the sleep monsters
Ah yes 7:30 Pm. Here you are again. Creeping up on me every night. It is the beginning of the sleep monster dance. The wind starts to howl… HOO…WL…. The moon is coming out to play and the Dance has begun.
I have brought the boys upstairs, undressed them as they run away from me trying to chase each other. Each sock I try to pry off has left balls of fuzz under their little toes. Pants, shirts with all of the days food smeared on them. Drippings of cookies, raw veggies and meat stuck in the top of little babes diaper. Chunks of dinner stuck in his hair and parts of sticky yogurt caught in the tips of his ears. Beautiful messy boys.
Finally I am able to get them into their birthday suits and into the tub. They are so happy and playful with each other. Older babe is going to be three soon and he is a wonderful older brother. Little Babe is 13 months and is part octopus, bird and lion. He is my climber, runner and squiggly babe.
After the bath, I let one of them stay in and play while I dress the other one next to the tub. It is a random choice. Then as the water is draining I take the next one and dress him. Then it starts up again. The running, chasing, and tackling. Ah brothers:)
Once I herd them into older Babes room I try to read a few stories. Even if they don’t listen and are more preoccupied by running around the room and laughing at my attempt to read to them.
Older Babe kisses me and little Babe and goes into his crib. He has several Doc Hudson’s and Finn McMissile cars, a few stuffed animals, two blankets and a light turtle.
As I carry little Babe I try to turn the nightlight on and slowly walk out of the room. Just then, Older Babe asks me to rock him and if he can “have my belly” which means he wants to put his finger in my belly button. He has been doing this since I was pregnant with Little Babe. But I tell him that I will come back if he can be quiet and let me get the baby to sleep.
I go to my room and nurse Little Babe. Then it begins….The sleep monster emerges. Although I never know who he will befriend tonight.
I hear…”Mama!! Maaaaaama!! I want water” but I don’t go in…. then the singing starts….” The wheels on the bus…” I wait….”Mama! I’m scared…”
I usually go in for this. So I take Little Babe from my cozy warm bed and knock him off my breast and put him in the crib where he starts to cry because he was so comfy. He begins to scream.
I walk down the hallway, “Yes, babe?” “Mama its dark, I want the flashlight” “Ok here is the flashlight, now be quiet so I can come back after little babe is asleep” … “Ok Mama, I love you….”
Then I get Little Babe who has been crying “maaaaaaa” and bring him back into bed to nurse and snuggle with him. I stare at his beauty, his skin, his hair, his cheeks. He starts to fall asleep.
Just then ” Maaaaaama!!! Mama! mama! I dropped Doc!!!!!, Maaaaama!! Little Babe wakes looks around for his brother and starts to cry. Lol… That naughty sleep monster! He will never let me get these boys to sleep! I put Little Babe in his crib, run to Older Babe’s room, find Doc- his favorite car and run back to crying little babe, start to nurse….then “Maaaaaama!!! Mama! Mama! Are you going to rock me???”
Moms have asked me how I put the boys to bed when my husband works late. This is it, oh and it’s also how I get exercise. The moments are fleeting…. Some wish their kids would grow up faster, but I enjoy the dance of the sleep monster and the musical stylings of my beautiful boys. “Maaaaaama!”
